Student chapters are created so that those interested in the Human Resources field can meet, discuss and supplement their academic educations with real life examples.
Student Chapters have additional benefits available besides working with Human Resources Professionals on a regular basis. Students can network with other Student Chapters to gain and share information and receive supplies and resources, free of charge, to help manage the chapter. Finally, chapters are recognized annually for outstanding activities and programming.
Through regular meetings, either self-directed or utilizing guest speakers, the chapters help members learn more about HR and the real world of business. Elected student officers run the chapters with the assistance of a chapter advisor and the HRMA Student Chapter Chair. Beyond the regular meetings, chapters organize a variety of activities including company tours, student conferences, resume-writing and interviewing workshops, fundraisers, internship programs, and social events.
