    In this interactive work shop, attendess will understand how to minimize legal risks, damages to company reputation, and liability by learing the steps you can take to ensure effective workplae investigations.

    When you leave the program you will have a better:

    • Understanding of the benefits of conducting an internal investigation
    • Understanding of when a formal investigation should be initiated versus handling an informal complaint
    • Understanding of how to conduct a thorough investigation from interview to final reporting
    • Examine methods of determining credibilityof witnesses and evidence.

    About Peter Brunault: 

    Peter Brunault is part of the HR services team at Employers Association of the NorthEast and known for his business-wise approach to regulatory and compliance challenges including harassment and discrimination. Peter handles HOTLINE calls and a variety of HR projects including audits, recruiting and investigations. As an attorney, he brings a focused perspective on legal liability to issues of respect in the workplace. Peter is certified as a trainer by the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and often leads EANE learning programs on mediation and conflict resolution. 

    Prior to practicing in private law for eight years, Peter worked in HR roles for the regional supermarket chain Big Y where he supported IT, facilities and distribution. He was part of the store opening advance-team during a major growth initiative that dramatically expanded the number of stores and employees.

    Peter received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the American International College in Springfield, MA, and his law degree from the Western New England University School of Law. He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resource Certification Institute.
