    The Massachusetts Pay Equity law goes into effect in July of 2018. It’s critical that employers in the state understand the parameters of the law and the practical applications of how to be compliant. John will review the legal aspects of compliance and Patti will discuss compensation strategies that will help you align positions and salaries to be compliant and effective in your organization.

    Patti D'Amaddio combines her fifteen years of experience in corporate HR with over a decade of experience at the Employers Association of the NorthEast and a master's degree in business administration and management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in her leadership role for EANE.

    She is known for her deep understanding of business operations - both service and manufacturing - and, in particular, her strength in the disciplines of compensation and benefit plan design, labor and employee relations. She served for over ten years as an HR executive for a $600M division of a nationally based, IT and engineering firm.

    Patti completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM)  and is a member of World at Work. She serves on the Board of Directors for Girls Inc of Holyoke, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing girls opportunities to develop and achieve their full potential. 

    Attorney John Gannon is a graduate of Boston College and Western New England University’s School of Law.  John prefers avoiding costly litigation for his clients if and when possible. To that end, he frequently assists employers in litigation avoidance strategies. He has reviewed countless employee handbooks and related polices for compliance, and he does lots of trainings for employers. John has also conducted comprehensive wage & hour and employment practices audits. He regularly counsel employers on compliance with state and federal laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
